Not a lot of international streaming services offer a wide range of Nollywood Films, and while Netflix and Amazon Prime have some film options for its African audience, it’s definitely not always enough. Luckily for us, there are Nigerian-owned, African-centred streaming platforms that offer a wide variety of Nollywood movies for viewers at home and in the diaspora to enjoy. Here’s a list of alternate platforms to stream Nollywood movies.

Iroko Tv

Iroko TV is currently the #1 Nigerian streaming platform. Owned by Jason Njoku and run by his actress-producer-director wife Mary Njoku, it offers a wide selection of original movies churcned out weekly. The platform gives you unlimited access to all their original movies and shows. Multiple subscription plans are offered for viewing

Conga Tv

Conga TV is also a subscription based streaming platform that offers a great selection of Nigerian movies and shows including original productions. It has a number of original films with unique, entertaining storylines that cater to both younger and older generations.


Everyone is familiar with Youtube. As the #1 video platform in the world, they have a wide range of Nollywood films (if not the largest) from old nollywood movie to New nollywood movies. While the platform is flooded with films, here are a couple of nollywood center youtube channels; NollywoodPicturesTV, Uche Mbunabo films etc. Youtube is free but also offers a premium subscription.

Net Naija

Nigeria’s one stop shop for everything entertainment. Like Nigerians themselves, this platform offers multiple services, as it not only offers Nollywood movies, it also has a large selection of music videos, ready-to-download songs, comedy videos, gospel videos, sports videos and even Korean series.

SceneOne TV

If you’re a fan of Funke Akindele related productions, this one is for you. SceneOne TV is owned by Funke Akindele herself and gives you access to Scene One productions including; Jenifa’s Diary, Industreet, Housegirls and many other Scene One original movies and series. There are multiple subscription plans offered
