This is one embarrassing thing that men struggle with in their day to day lives, nevertheless they must do all they can to get a smooth clear skin. Razor bumps are bumpy skin inflammation that appear on the face of a man. Razor bumps can be avoided and taken care of with proper products and technique. I am sure you do not want to be seen around with a bumpy face because that is not cute in anyway. Here are 5 ways to avoid getting those bumps:
USING BLUNT RAZOR
This cannot be overemphasized. Old and bad razors should be thrown into the bin as they have no place on your face. The use of razor that is blunt and old causes infection, and shaves the facial hair on the surface, the razor does not go down properly for a good shave, thereby causing bumps.
REACTION TO SHAVING CREAMS
It is wise to know what best works for you and the shaving cream that best suits your skin. Shaving creams can irritate the skin, thereby causing rash and bumps.
NOT USING AFTER SHAVE
After shave exists for a reason and is in no way a luxury. After shave can be in form of oil or lotion but is very essential in preventing razor bumps and irritation. It is advisable for men to invest in an after shave kit and use them appropriately.
DO NOT SHAVE TOO OFTEN
Some men are guilty of shaving so often that they injure their skin. It is better to shave once in a while, especially when the hair on the face is fully grown.
USE CLEAN CLOTH TO WIPE THAT AREA
Hygiene is paramount when it comes to shaving your beards as when done and washed, clean cloth must be used to wipe dry. If a dirty cloth is used, dirt is just being transferred to the skin and can hide under the skin. Prevention is definitely better than cure.
