The upcoming 74th Primetime Emmy Awards is set to highlight and award the best of American prime-time television as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, The Academy released the nominee list for its 2022 Emmy Awards and the nominee list has met everyone in TV world with mixed feelings. The categories range from drama series to Variety sketch series. HBO’s drama Succession garnered the most nominations with a total of 25 nominations, followed closely by Euphoria also under HBO Network. Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso notched 20 nominations, followed by HBO Max’s Hacks and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, with 17 nominations each. The White Lotus took the lead in the Limited Series categories with 20 nominations, and Netflix’s Ozark received 13 nominations for its final season. The award ceremony is set to air on Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC, and will be available to stream live and on-demand on Peacock.
