The Nigerian Music industry is a meeting points of different talents – from the artistes, to the promoters, to the marketers, the sound engineers, the producers and all other personalities involved, it can be said that it is difficult for the industry to function effectively if one arm is totally independent of the other arms. Producers are one of the major stakeholders in the music industry and it is necessary that the new talents are allowed a place in the industry to learn and complement the established acts in order to maintain the needed fluidity in the music production aspects of the Nigerian entertainment industry.

While the year 2017 brought us talented producers like Krizbeats, Sessbeats and other talented producers, currently making waves, we take a look at ten new music producers that are ready to take over the music industry in 2018;

  • Cheekychizzy

After former DKM producer Deevee left the label, D’banj signed Cream platform winner – Cheekychizzy as a replacement into DKM Records. He worked on D’banj’s King Don Come album production with co-production credits to almost all the songs on the album. With songs like Collide, Confess and International Local to his name as a solo artist, Cheeky is effectively functioning as a producer and artist and is definitely one to watch out for in 2018.

  • Spotless

Spotless is another budding and unsigned producer that is set to take over the entertainment industry. With production credits to Mama by Tekno ft Wizkid and L.A.X’s Call My Baby, we await what Spotless has to offer the industry in 2018.

  • Killertunes


Killertunes who was previously associated with Bang Music was recently signed to The Cap music owned by DJ Spinall. Since then, he has been on a steady rise and has produced a lot of hit singles including Kiss Daniel’s Yeba and Sofa, Wande Coal’s Funke, D’banj’s Focus and Wizkid’s smash hit Manya. Wizkid has hinted about a heavy takeover from the young producer.

  • Bizzouch

Signed to Aquila Records, Bizzouch is responsible for hit singles such baseone Ronaldo, showcase by Aquila records, L.A.X’s Gwara Gwara and Airboy’s Ayepo remix ft Burnaboy. Definitely one to watch out for in 2018.

  • Ckay

Choc City in house producer and artist has proven to be one of the promising acts to watch out for in 2018. With production credits on Dice Ailes’ Miracle, Your Fada by MI ft Dice Ailes, Gaddemit ft Dremo and the self-produced Nkechi turn up, it is safe to Ckay is about to seal a place in the industry this year.

  • Oscar

Oscar is most prolific in producing songs in the alternative genre. He is responsible for producing Adekunle Gold’s Orente and Simi’s Joromi. He is also responsible for producing most songs off the critically acclaimed debut album of songstress Simi titled Simisola.

  • 2tboyz

Artistes cum producers 2tboyz are one of the foremost street music ambassadors. With the street hit single Customer Dada Ni in their collection as artiste, the duo are also responsible for producing most of Small Doctor’s single including the mega hit ‘Penalty’, Juniorboy’s Irapada and the viral cover of IF by talented Fuji act, Destiny boy.

  • Fresh

Former Ape Gang producer, Fresh, who is now signed to Davido’s DMW is another budding producer. With production credits on songs like Back to back, Mayorkun’s Yawa and Prayer, Dremo’s Who and IroNla and others, Fresh is widely known for producing Davido’s mega smash hit ‘FIA’.

  • Spax

Spax is also a young producer doing exploits in the music industry with production credits on SDC’s Palmwine music EP and Shaydee’s Make Sense ft Wizkid.

  • Simba Tags

The South Africa based producer and Dotman affiliate is responsible for the hit singles like Afro Girls ft Mr. Eazi, Escobar ft Davido and the mega smash hit “Akube
