Chronicles of a Nympho [Ep3]

Chronicles Of a Nympho

Continued from Episode 2

Some days I think about my life and I wonder, won’t things be way better if I were more settled… Maybe a serious commitment, like a man I know for sure there is a future with; a job that actually paid the bills for real. You know that sort of commitment. Life, Relationship and Finances…

‘Hello… Yesmin darling…’

I quickly snap out of my brief reverie. I realize I have Rex on the end of the line.

Me: Oh yes yes… Hmm…I will be here. Call me.

The line goes dead. I look around the apartment in confusion, I am still in shock. The red wine is still half full sitting in the glass. I have suddenly lost my desire to drink it.

How can the world be so small? I ponder to myself; how can Rex be acquainted with Adebantu Richards? Now more than ever I want to call Nini… She always knows what to say/do in instances like this. If she was here, she would probably say:

‘Oh Yesmin, calm down, you are over analyzing it, and so… if they know each other how does that concern you?’

Well… She is right.

I channel some enthusiasm as I gulp down the contents in my glass and pack up my jacket, bag and shoes and make my way to the bedroom. The house smells like jasmine, Nini got these scent candles from her last trip to Thailand; they always burn so beautifully and smell so heavenly.

I make a move to the bedside drawer beside the bed to pick one of the said candles as I light it and move to the bathroom to place it on the bathtub. I fill the tub with warm water, put in some scenting oils and my Crystal white milk body wash.

‘Hmmmm’

I inhale the heavenly mix.

As I take off my clothes, a wicked thought comes to my head; I smile as I rush back to the room to get my phone. I dip my toes into the water, it is still warm, my angel wings tattoo catches my eyes, I got it last year in Mega Plaza – my only tattoo.

I settle fully into the tub, resting my back against it… I bring out my phone and unlock it as I open the Camera 360 app. I cross my hands behind my head and start taking naughty pictures.

My breasts…Click! Click! Click!

My thighs… Click! Click! Click!

My lips and a lot of cleavage… Click! Click! Click!

I smile mischievously. As I browse through my gallery, cautiously studying them, deleting the selfies that aren’t so bomb.

Then I move to open my whatsapp as I search for Rex name and hit, send pictures – sending him all the picture quite aware of his meeting with the high and mighty Adebantu Richards.

‘Give him something to think about’, I say to myself.

I wait as the messages show delivered… Wait… Wait for him to read it…

I put the phone down and close my eyes for a bit, relaxing as the warmth of the water caresses my body.

15 minutes later.

I come out of the tub and dry myself, I remember my phone on the rim of the bath and the photos I sent to Rex, I check the messages. He read them… No reply…

I shrug as I laugh to myself.

I snuggle in my bed and immediately drifted off… It has been a mentally draining day for me. I don’t know what it is about Adebantu Richards, but I can’t stop thinking about him. My eyelids shut slowly.

Ringggggggggg… Ringgggggggg… Ringggggggggg!

My eyes grudgingly open as I locate my phone and grudgingly look at the screen, it’s Nini.

Perfect timing, I mutter sarcastically.

Me: Hi Ni. How’s Kiki doing?

Kiki is Nini’s sister; she is due with her first child. Nini is about to be an Aunt.

Nini: Ohhhh Yesmin! It’s a girl! I have the most beautiful niece in the whole wide world! She is gorgeous! She has my eyes!

I scream in joy and laugh out loud at Nini’s overjoy! She wanted a niece for a very long time!

Me: OMG NINI! This is awesome news! 10 toes and 10 fingers?

I tease.

We both laugh at the humor.

Nini: Oh but of course babe! God makes no mistakes.

Me: How are Kiki and Uncle T? He is a daddy now!

Nini: Oh he is so happy, he cried, he didn’t want to leave the labor room, he was here all through it all. Trust Kiki, she gave him a hard time, cussing at him, saying she loves him. He was crying, up until my beautiful niece came out. We are calling her Esther, because she is just perfect. So beautiful Yesmin. I wish you were here. I miss you girl!

I miss her too, but this interview was clearly very important.

Me: I miss you too Nini. I’m glad everyone is doing great and is healthy. Thank God.

She tells me about the baby dresses we bought and how Uncle T has been beaming all over, thanking the doctors and all. It is comical.

Nini: How did the interview go?

She says out of the blue, I clear my throat and sit up.

Me: Oh Not bad, I will mail you the answers now and all. I didn’t transcribe it. Or should I?

I don’t think I can go through the torture of listening to his voice right now.

Nini: Oh you’ve done more than enough babe, thank you. Just mail the recording to me. Thank you so much. I love you. Everyone sends their love too!

I smile.

Me: Kisses to the Yummy Mummy! And kiss E for me, that’s her name now, that’s what I’ll call her E!

We both laugh and the line goes dead. My tummy growls reminding me that I can’t live on red wine, I quickly boot my darn computer and plug the recorder in as I mail the interview to Nini. I am tempted to play it, so I’ll hear his voice one last time. I quickly brush off the silly thought and mail her the recording without playing it.

I move to the kitchen to make a sandwich. What will I wear to see Rex? The door chimes and I wonder who that could be, plus I’m a little mad he didn’t reply my messages. I move to the room as I quickly throw on a robe. Then I move to open the door. A uniformed man is at the door, with a big paper bag. Who is this?

Me: Yes?

With my brows raised up. He smiles politely.

Uniformed man: From Mr. Rex Peters for Miss Yesmin, I am to deliver this and pick you for a dinner party.

He hands me a white Isabel MARANT branded paper bag. I smile… Well… Well Rex.

Me: Thank you.

I smile, as I try to locate some change on the drawer under the door light, he waves it off politely.

Uniformed Man: I will be waiting in the car for you Ma’am. The dinner is for 7pm.

I smile coyly and smack my lips as my robe slides open a little, he looks away, I pull it up slowly.

Me: No problem amigo, just gimme an hour. Thank you.

I shut the door softly and shriek as I rush into the bedroom and dump the contents on my bed, a handwritten note plops to the bed. It’s Rex’s handwriting.

‘Labels for you, my Femme Fatale.’

I smile and open the box; the dress is absolutely gorgeous, coffee brown and backless. The fabric feels like silk. It is amazing. I smile wickedly as I rush to the bathroom, used the mouthwash and washed my face.

I took an extra time on my make-up and my hair as I packed it up leaving some strands hanging softly against my back.

I apply my favorite perfume – Jour by Hugo Boss and slip my feet into Nini’s strappy Schutz heels. I make my way downstairs as the chauffeur is waiting with the door open.

I climb in… 15 minutes later we pull into the location; a lot of cars are parked outside. Is this a party?

Wait the chauffeur said a private dinner party. Thank God this dress will suffice. I pull out my hand mirror. I look really good if I must say.

Me: You never did tell me your name…

I say to the chauffeur, he adjusts the rear view mirror and smiles politely.

Chauffeur: I am Niyi, Miss Yesmin, at your service.

I smile and he comes down to open the door for me. As I make my way inside the building, the crowd before me spooks me up, I adjust my strap and move further inside the building. I scan the crowd and it’s a group of old timers with old money and a few young entrepreneurs.

My kind of crowd, I smirk.

Then I spot Rex as our eyes meet. His gaze melts like hot chocolate on some exotic desert.

I can hear him say: ‘Oh Muca…’ In that sexy drawl.

I smile and walk the corner as he comes to meet me. We meet halfway.

Rex stretches out his hand.

Me: Hello…

He rubs his right brow…

Rex: You look like you belong in a show glass Muca. Those photos you sent… You’re naughty… so naughty… You look really good, really good. But we need to talk. Okay?

I smile solemnly, I recognize that tone. He has something mushy and soppy to say, I hate this Rex, catching feelings and all. Let’s just have fun! No he won’t listen; he wants doves, hearts, happy ever after and a flipping wedding.

Swerve!

Me: Sure we can talk whenever.

He nods as he leads me into the crowd. All eyes are on me. These men fall like dominoes.

Rex: I want to introduce you to a really close friend of mine, it is his dinner…

Adebantu Richards…

Rex leads the way…

I immediately spot him; he is wearing a grey Tom Ford Jacket with matching slacks and an open chest white shirt. He looks gorgeous.

Our eyes meet… And for a fleeting second there is a spark.

He immediately turns his gaze away, not even bothering to linger.

My heart thumps.

1…2…3…4…5…

Rex: Bantu, I want you to meet my girlfriend… Yesmin Briggs… She is a journalist.

Hol up… Hol up… GIRLFRIEND????!!!!???

He looks at me lazily… And smiles.

Adebantu: pleasure to meet you.

I stretch out my hand and he shakes me, I want to hold on to his a little longer just to provoke an emotion but he quickly tries to remove it, I squeeze it and he looks at me, no emotion or anything.

Me: Same here.

Strange old man: She is gorgeous Rex, so gorgeous. Hi Yesmin.

I smile at him, he looks filthy rich.

A young lady comes to our side and takes along her Rex and the Old man.

Rex: Gimme a minute baby.

He kisses me on the cheek and excuses himself as he leaves me and Adebantu there. I look at him; he looks at his phone, uninterested.

I move to his side.

Me: You’re going to act like you don’t know me?

He licks his lips and turns to look at me.

Adebantu: Does he know he is just a means to an end?

I blink… Twice.

Me: What?

He smiles, if you can call it a smile.

Adebantu: Rex, does he know you are just after the coins – his money?

I raise my hand to slap him across his face, as he immediately blocks me and catches my flimsy arm in a firm grip.
