Cynthia Morgan first attained recognition in 2010 when she was featured on Jhybo’s “Run Dia Mouth”. Her distinct pattern of fusing Reggae, Dancehall, Hip-hop and Afro pop made the industry observers rate her high and tagged her the newest thing to happen to the Nigeria music industry. This said song went on to win “Best street song” at the Nigeria Entertainment Award in 2010. From then on, she has gone on to release chart busting singles.

Born September 23rd 1991, this beautiful diva was born and raised in Benin City by a single mother who herself was a top performing gospel artiste. At a tender age, Cynthia Morgan followed her mom to most of her events and from there; she developed her passion for music. At the age of sixteen, Cynthia Morgan recorded and released her debut single which gathered media interests in and around Benin city. She received airplays and earned interviews in their local press. After completing her secondary education at age seventeen, Cynthia Morgan decided to fully go into recording and releasing singles online and on radios.

In 2013, Cynthia Morgan signed a recording and management deal with Northside Inc- fronted by Jude Okoye who is a veteran in the music industry. With her voice and deep writing skills, she released her first single under Northside Inc, Kuchi Kuchi which was followed by a world class video for the same song. By late 2013, Cynthia released her hit single “Don’t Break My Heart” which has been on heavy rotation online and on radios.

As a hit as the song was, most people didn’t recognize Cynthia Morgan as the singer of this song as it is a total different feel from the usual Cynthia Morgan we knew. That song did show her flexibility as a talented artiste as a follow up video was released which was shot by Clarence Peters. After the release of the video, music lovers and observers didn’t hesitate in scoring her high once again.

She also showed her prowess in “Lead on me” which was released alongside “Don’t Break My Heart”. With a new single out “I’m taken”, Cynthia Morgan is indeed the next best happening thing in the industry.
