The Best looks From Burna Boy’s – Ye Video

Burna Boy dropped the video for “Ye” off his 2018 release Outside, and it’s a mildly artful and lovely piece of work. We’ve come to expect great visuals from Burna Boy through Video director Clarence Peters montage and “Ye” doesn’t disappoint — it’s hyper-directional with a Westernized feel to it, and the looks are complex, albeit totally preachy and unnoticed. We’re all about it, so peep my favourite moments from “Ye” below.

Money still rules

Hysterically, a bunch of dollar notes still gets to be captured in a music video for a sanctimonious melody.

It’s very okay to smoke Marijuana

Burna Boy had fun smoking while on set and even brought the puffs to the main video. It must have been Clarence’s idea to blow the smoke and write his name at the start of the video.

Women will be your downfall

A vertical flip dimension of the models was in tone to send a harmless message in the role of women in our society, opinionatively.

Gang! Gang!! Gang!!!

Burna’s occasional association with thuggery was pictured as he walks lackadaisically with two male models styled in masks and fraternity emblem.

Priez pour nous

The sermonizing tone of ‘Ye’ prompted the prophet to rock a designer shirt with the French inscription ‘Priez pour nous’ which means ‘Pray for us’ in English. Ye should pass as a Nigerian anthem already.

Fela is an idol

Burna Boy had fun playing around with his idol and favourite legend, Fela’s portraits and flag. This is a complete move to strengthen the influence of the late activist in his lifestyle and music.

Fit Fam

Yes, Burna Boy is officially in the Fit fam. These stony abs were not built in one day. The man did not waste a second in showing off his effort.

Black Bentley

This black Bentley goes for anything except that it didn’t stand beside a G-wagon as expected. Who doesn’t love an elegant Bentley?

Ebunoluwa doesn’t care

Yet another insane view – Burna was not in a Benz and smoked ‘louder’ than ever, supported by moving cameras in less than three seconds.

He respects Timaya

“Ye” also features Southern admirer, Timaya, styled in his famous and white garment. He didn’t leave his usual suspect and protégé, King Perryy as they both made cameo appearances which served as a major and focal point for the video.
