#1. He is Nigerian
Mr. Eazi is Nigerian by birth and an Ogun State indigene; his real name is – Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade and he was born on the 19th of July, 1991 in Port-Harcourt.
#2. He studied Mechanical Engineering in school
After his elementary and secondary education in Lagos; Mr. Eazi moved to Ghana in 2007 where he got admitted into Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, in Kumasi to study mechanical engineering.
#3. He is the CEO of PhoneTrader.ng
In a series of tweets where he hinted on his journey to stardom, Mr. Eazi listed a couple of projects he had embarked upon with a tech startup being one of them. His title on Facebook indicates he is the CEO of PhoneTrader.ng, a company that allows you trade your old phone for a new one.
#4. He got his stage name while in school
In an interview with Guardian Newspaper, he said while studying for his B.SC in Mechanical Engineering, he always ended the promo bulk SMS he did for shows with ‘’Be Easy” and from there the name stuck.
#5. He started musical career in 2010
Mr. Eazi started recording songs in 2010 as a hobby with a musical group called – Code Red, it wasn’t until 2012, when he released his first ever single titled – PIPI DANCE.
#6. He loves eating Banku
In a recent interview, he declared his love for Banku – a local meal in Ghana which is made from for the mixture of a lot of ingredients. He also termed his music “Banku Music” because he combines different genre of music to create his own sound. Interestingly, he always have a plate of Banku before his recording sessions.
